Estrada-Beamon, Hrgovic-Heredia official for August 24th on DAZN
Beamon is Estrada’s 15th-ranked contender
— Matchroom Boxing (@MatchroomBoxing) July 10, 2019
This will be Beamon’s (16-1-2, 11 KO) eighth consecutive bout south of the border, a run that includes draws with Angel Ramos and Maximino Flores alongside a 1-1 split with tough journeyman Martin Tecuapetla. He figures to be a massive underdog against Estrada (39-3, 26 KO), who has no unavenged losses since falling to Roman Gonzalez in 2012 and was last seen defeating Srisaket Sor Rungvisai in Inglewood.
In the co-feature, blue-chip heavyweight prospect Filip Hrgovic (8-0, 6 KO) faces Sam Peter-slayer Mario Heredia (16-6-1, 13 KO). Hrgovic has spent all of 60 seconds in the ring this year, having clobbered Gregory Corbin in May for his third finish in his last four fights. Heredia’s accolades begin and end with his eight-round split decision over Peter earlier this year.
The show also features 2016 Olympic silver medalist and 2017 amateur world champion Shakhram Giyasov (8-0, 6 KO), who defeated Emanuel Taylor on the undercard of Estrada’s rematch with Sor Rungvisai this past April.
