{"id":29888,"date":"2021-02-16T07:00:46","date_gmt":"2021-02-16T07:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mmaexchange.com\/?p=29888"},"modified":"2021-02-16T07:00:46","modified_gmt":"2021-02-16T07:00:46","slug":"watch-berchelt-valdez-blood-sweat-tears-episode-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mmaexchange.com\/?p=29888","title":{"rendered":"WATCH: Berchelt-Valdez &#8211; Blood, Sweat &amp; Tears (Episode 2)"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure><figcaption>Photo by Mikey Williams\/Top Rank Inc via Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Top Rank releases it\u2019s second and final promotional installment leading into this weekend\u2019s title fight. <\/p>\n<p>In anticipation of this weekend\u2019s junior lightweight title fight between Miguel Berchelt and Oscar Valdez, Top Rank unveils the second episode of <em>Blood, Sweat &amp; Tears <\/em>which features behind the scenes footage of both fighters leading into the big fight. <\/p>\n<p>In this episode we pick up where we left off, with both fighters grinding it out in training camp, physically and mentally preparing themselves for battle. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel my dream of becoming a world champion, WBC world champion, just around the corner,\u201d Valdez says. \u201cI can almost touch it. I can almost feel it. We\u2019ll do whatever it takes to win.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Berchelt has plans of his own, expecting to inflict enough damage on Valdez to stop him while offering a few ominous words.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will give him a poison that has no cure,\u201d Berchelt claimed.  <\/p>\n<p>But boxing can be much bigger than just what happens between the ropes, as expressed by Valdez who is hoping to put his entire family in a better situation with his success. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor me the most important thing in life is family,\u201d says Valdez. \u201cMy family\u2019s pretty big and that\u2019s a big responsibility for myself. Sometimes it breaks my heart knowing that my grandma and grandfather still have to work today. And they work in a train station and the can get contagious very easy so sometimes I get worried. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of people might assume just because I\u2019m a former world champion, people will think that I can provide for the whole family, but it\u2019s ever enough. So it\u2019s a big motivation for me, I gotta provide for my family. I know if I win this fight, my grandmother and grandfather wouldn\u2019t have to work no more.
